Some of the world’s leading football players in the early hours of Sunday morning, took to the stage of the Accra International Conference Centre, to as it were, dance the morning away.
It was all fun at the Michael Essien “Game of Hope” Charity concert, held hours after they’d taken to the field in a World XI and Africa XI match, which ended 4:2 in favour of the former.
Hours after that friendly encounter, they regrouped at the AICC, to perfectly end their two day stay in Ghana, which started with a well-organised ”loud” arrival ceremony and a dinner at the Banquet Hall on Friday.
Check them out as they get down to some serious business of dancing. Adebayor and Cisse are in a class of their own; Essien can manage some Azonto steps, John Painstil knows how to mark a lady’s derriere closely, and Malouda should be thinking of a career in singing. Stephen Appiah has it, Eboue knows how to ”do the chance”.
Entertainment on the night was provided by R2Bees, Efya, Rex Omar, Sarkodie and Awilo Logomba.
