The 2nd edition of the Cook2Save contest will take place in Ghana on a bigger scale before the end of the year, organizers have confirmed.
Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges will be put into three zones to contest in a cooking competition, meant to raise funds to support a charity project in the country.
Zone 1 comprising of the University of Ghana, Accra Polytechnic and the University of Professionals Studies will engage each other in a healthy competition at the University of Ghana campus to determine the winner.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will play host to many patrons at their venue as they compete with Kumasi Polytechnic and Christian Service University College to determine the best cooking institution.
The final zone will see Cape University play host to Cape Coast Polytechnic and Takoradi Polytechnic in another engaging contest.
The winners of the three zones will join defending champions Zenith College in Accra for the finals which will take place at yet to determined date in December.
The first edition saw 6 chefs from 6 tertiary institutions, engaged in a cooking contest at the Aviation Social Centre in June.
Zenith University, Jayee University, University of Ghana, University of Professional Studies, Wisconsin University and Accra Polytechnic took part in the maiden edition of the competition.

This family oriented hands-on event is expected to draw thousands together to eat, and enjoy savory dishes and vote for Ghana’s best top chefs and culinary cook teams!
Activities include 6-on-6 cooking competition, mystery basket hunt, a display by a top Chef on the art of cooking plus musical performances. It will be a day of Festive Family Fun and a scene of delicious dishes presented in a tasty environment all while supporting the needy in our society.
The event, which is an initiative of Rite Multimedia, an integrated marketing company in Ghana.
