​‘Any Woman Who Voted Against Hillary Clinton Voted Against Their Own Voice’ – Michelle Obama Had a Simple Reminder for the 53 Percent

Former first lady Michelle Obama, queen of our hearts, took some time out of her schedule to address the Beckys who voted for President Donald Trump while discussing a wide range of topics at a conference in Boston on Wednesday. 

“Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice,” Obama said during a Q&A segment with famed author Roxane Gay at marketing conference Inbound, Boston.com notes.

Just a casual reminder for the 53 percent of white women who voted for Donald Trump and, thus, against their own voices.

Of course, ever classy and ever saintly, Obama still maintained that she and her husband wish nothing but the best for Trump even as he continues to wreak havoc on the office of the president. Because that’s just who she is as a person.

Obama also took some time to touch on a few topics near and dear to her heart, including the Republican Party’s continued (and unsuccessful) attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The Affordable Care Act isn’t Barack’s legacy,” she said. “It’s the country’s legacy.”

Eventually, Obama moved on to lighter topics, including the fact that she does notmiss the White House (who can blame her), although she did miss the “people and the work.”

“It was like being shot out of a cannon … with a blindfold and the spotlight on you,” she said about being first lady.
